About the Artist

About the Artist - Jennifer Davis

The desire to create beautiful, wearable art has been with me for as long as I can remember.

Growing up in Southern California in the 1980s, surrounded by the influences of the American Southwest and Mexico, I was captivated by sterling silver and turquoise jewelry from a young age. Long before I ever picked up a torch, I dreamed of becoming a silversmith.

Like many creative journeys, mine didn't happen overnight. I began by making peyote-stitched hair wraps and beaded earrings that I sold at music festivals, then dabbled in wire work and jewelry assembly. Each step taught me something new, but it wasn't until I discovered metalsmithing that I found the medium that truly felt like home.

Today, I create one-of-a-kind and small-batch jewelry collections in sterling and fine silver, featuring thoughtfully curated natural turquoise and the occasional Mexican fire opal. Every piece is handcrafted in my Oregon studio using traditional fabrication techniques and simple hand tools. From the first sketch to the final polish, I am involved in every stage of the process.

Nature is my greatest source of inspiration. Forests, wildlife, moonlit landscapes, wildflowers, and the rugged beauty of the Pacific Northwest often find their way into my work. Music is never far away either - it has been a constant companion throughout my life and continues to influence my creative process.

What I love most about jewelry is the relationship people develop with the pieces they wear. A favorite ring becomes part of daily life. A pendant marks a milestone. A treasured piece is passed from one generation to the next. My hope is that the jewelry I create finds a home with someone who will wear and enjoy it for many years to come.

When I'm not at the bench, you'll usually find me hiking a forest trail, attending a live music show, or spending time with my husband and business partner, Cary.
